The Julian Center announced Jessica White, former president of the Julian Center Board of Directors, is the new interim executive director. White replaces Melissa Pershing who has accepted a position as director of legal assistance with The Florida Bar Foundation.
White has more than 30 years of experience working with non-profit organizations which includes serving as the director of development for The Childrenās Museum of Indianapolis. White is founder and president of Jessica White Associates, a strategic consulting firm focused on fund raising and organizational effectiveness.
āAs a board member and as president of the board, I have always had a strong passion for the wonderful work done at The Julian Center,ā said White. āI look forward to assisting the talented staff continue the terrific mission of the Julian Center and helping women in need.ā
The Julian Center is the largest domestic violence shelter in Indiana. Its programs are designed for those who are in immediate danger as well as to assist families with the housing and support services they need in order to become independent and self-sufficient.Ā

White is expected to join The Julian Center as executive director on June 21.
