Mothers of youth football players invited to participate in football-filled day

More by this author

The Indianapolis Colts will host their first-ever “Mom’s Football Safety Clinic” at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center on Sunday, June 1 from 1-3 p.m. The event will be centered on USA Football’s “Heads Up” initiative, which stresses the importance of league certification and tackling techniques to help ensure youth player safety.

The event will provide a unique opportunity for mothers of youth football players to learn first-hand from experts in sports medicine, hear from Colts/USA Football representatives, and hit the football field for a training session from Master Trainer Mike Haynes. In addition, Christine Golic, national “Heads-Up” spokeswoman and wife of ESPN commentator Mike Golic, is schedule to speak.

The “Mom’s Football Safety Clinic” is an event designed exclusively for mothers. There is no fee to attend. Mothers interested in attending are invited to pre-register for the event by visiting www.coltsmembers.com <<span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>http://www.coltsmembers.com> . All participants are encouraged to come dressed in active wear (i.e. tennis shoes and athletic apparel). On-site registration will also be available.
