Garfield Park friends, neighbors and day camp kids will join funding partners to celebrate the official opening of the park’s recently renovated outdoor basketball court on Wednesday. Funding for construction of the court was provided by a partnership between Indianapolis Power & Light Company, Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the City of Indianapolis through the Indianapolis Parks Foundation.
Wednesday’s event will begin with a park clean up, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and Get Fever Fit clinic led by Indiana Fever players, Indiana Pacemates and Inferno Hip-Hop Squad.
