YMCA offering schools out camps for working parents

Several local school districts have been forced to close this week due to the extreme weather conditions. The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is trying to help working parents who are need in childcare by offering School’s Out Camps at a variety of locations across the city. The camps are available for children ages 5-12.

School’s Out Camps are being held from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations:

Ā· Baxter YMCA, 7900 S. Shelby Street, IndianapolisĀ 

Ā· Benjamin Harrison YMCA, 5736 Lee Road, Indianapolis

Ā· Harris Elementary School, 200 W. Park Avenue, GreenfieldĀ 

Ā· Ransburg YMCA, 501 N. Shortridge Road, Indianapolis

Ā· Fishers YMCA, 9012 E. 126th Street, Fishers

Ā· Hendricks Regional Health YMCA, 301 Satori Parkway, Avon

Ā· Jordan YMCA, 8400 Westfield Blvd., Indianapolis

The daily rate is $41 for guests and $36 for YMCA members. Registrations are being taken on-site. Participants need to bring a lunch, water, bottle and two snacks. For more information please call 317-266-9622 or visit the YMCA Youth Development Facebook page.
