The Global Culture, an organization using art to promote community development, will host a community garden clean-up on Saturday, July 2.
This garden clean-up is an extension of the organization’s mission, which is to create educational and nutritional benefits for communities located in food deserts.
The “Garden in Deserts” initiative will be held at 2063 Yandes St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with catering by Lloyd & Son BBQ. The organization will accept donations of lumber, gardening tools, soil, canvases and acrylic paint.
