In celebration of the 25th season of Indianapolis Colts football and the grand opening of Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Colts will host their inaugural Fan Fest in Anderson featuring hometown national recording artist Jon McLaughlin.

The first 2008 Fan Fest will be Friday, June 6 at 5 p.m. at the Downtown Anderson Town Center. Admission to all Colts Fan Fest events is free.

Colts Fan Fest will continue across Indiana and Kentucky through June 20 making six additional stops in cities including Evansville, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, LaPorte, Louisville and Terre Haute.

In Indianapolis, the Fan Fest will be June 20 at the American Legion Mall, 700 N. Pennsylvania St., from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will be an autograph session with Colts players, cheerleaders and Blue. At 7:30 the free McLaughlin concert will begin.

Fan Fest elements include a ā€œColts Cityā€ set up with inflatables, meet and greets with Colts players, cheerleaders, Blue the team mascot and a free concert by recording artist McLaughlin. Fans may also participate in the Books for Youth book drive by donating new or gently used children’s books, register their kids for the Colts Kids Club, register-to-win tickets to a Colts pre-season game, pick up free Colts giveaways and experience the re-designed Colts in Motion traveling museum.

ESPN the magazine recently honored the Indianapolis Colts as the No. 1 franchise of the top four pro sports. This ranking is based upon numerous factors including how teams give back to the fans.

ā€œWhat better way to bring Colts fans together than with a festival-like environment and a free concert with Hoosier native and national recording artist, Jon McLaughlin,ā€ said Tom Zupancic, vice president of sales and marketing for the Colts.

ā€œWe provide hundreds of free events for our fans every year. Colts Fan Fest is our way of giving back to our fans to thank them for their continued support. We want our fans all across the state to be able to touch the Colts franchise in their own backyards,ā€ said Zupancic.
