The Mozel Sanders Foundation has announced “Mozelabration,” a celebration of serving the Indianapolis community for 40 years.
“Mozelabration” is the theme for this year’s fundraising campaign. The organization feeds more than 40,000 people on Thanksgiving Day.
During “Mozelabration” there will be a number of ways the community can support the foundation to ensure it is able to feed those in need. The foundation has partnered with a number of events that will allow donors different ways to support the foundation.
Following is our list of events that will benefit the foundation during the fundraising campaign:
• Mozel Night Out with Ruth Chris Steakhouse at 9445 Threel Road off 96th and Keystone, Oct. 20, 6 to 9 p.m. A portion of the cash bar proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
• Outback Steakhouse 86th and Michigan Road, Oct. 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Annual luncheon by Outback Steakhouse and all donations will go directly to the foundation.
• Humanitarian Tribute Dinner-Colts Complex, 7001 E. 56th St., Nov. 4, 6 to 10 p.m. All proceeds will go to the foundation.
• Mozel Sanders Annual Radio-thon-Lafayette Square and Circle Centre malls, Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The foundation will be able to take donations by phone or on location at each mall.
• A Salute to Gospel Music and Its Legends, Madame Walker Theatre, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m. The Mozel Sanders Foundation will get a portion of the proceeds and is asking each person to bring two non-perishable items.
• Champions of Charity Gala, JW Marriott, Nov. 19, 6 to 8 p.m. The Mozel Sanders Foundation will receive proceeds from the night’s event.
• Concert featuring Cameo, the Venue Conference Center, 5110 Pike Plaza Dr., Nov. 19, 7:30 to 11 p.m. The foundation will receive a portion for each ticket sold for the concert.
Each year the Mozel Sanders Foundation is able to feed the hungry with the support of the yearly sponsors such as FedEx, Butler University, Radio One, Financial Center Credit Union, Outback Steakhouse, Indianapolis Colts, Midwest Food Bank, Mt.
