Aliyah Boston, the Indiana Fever rookie center and 2023 WNBA All-Star, has been named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June, marking her second consecutive win after being awarded the title in May. She is the first player in franchise history to win multiple Rookie of the Month awards.

During June, Boston played in 11 games and averaged 15.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 30.5 minutes per game. She has started every game in her WNBA career and still holds the lead in field goal percentage, shooting 61.8 percent (94-of-152). Additionally, she leads all rookies in scoring, rebounds, blocks and minutes per game.

In seven of the 11 games played in June, Boston scored in double figures. One of her standout performances was on June 18 against Atlanta, where she tied a career-high with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting and also recorded a career-best of four blocked shots. She had previously scored 25 points and 11 rebounds at Chicago on June 6.

It is worth noting that the last three Rookie of the Year winners (Rhyne Howard in 2022, Michaela Onyenwere in 2021 and Crystal Dangerfield in 2020) were all awarded every Rookie of the Month recognition during their first seasons.
