Gov. Mike Braun signed an executive order to review that state’s educational institution’s policies on antisemitism.
According to a release sent by the governor’s office, the executive order comes after the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel. The order directs the Indiana Commission for Higher Education to review the policies of state institutions and reiterates Braun’s administration’s support for Israel.

“A wave of antisemitism across the country began over a year ago with the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack against Israel, with universities often at the epicenter of these incidents,” Braun said. “With this executive order, we are making it clear that Indiana will not tolerate antisemitic discrimination at our state institutions or anywhere else — Jewish Hoosiers should know the state of Indiana condemns antisemitism and stands with them.”
The order also comes as President Donald Trump’s administration warns universities across the country about their obligations to protect Jewish student son campus under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
