Syndicated talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz is coming to Indianapolis.
Dr. Oz will be at the Indiana State Fair on Aug. 11. He will talk to an audience at 3 p.m. on the Free Stage at the fairgrounds. The public is invited to attend with admission to the State Fair. Seating will be on a first-come basis.
Dr. Oz is a heart surgeon, author and host of “The Dr. Oz Show,” watched by millions worldwide and loved for the practical and informative medical advice dispensed during the show. He first appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2004 and with her endorsement launched his show in 2009.
Dr. Oz’s appearance is a prelude to the Senior Health Fair, sponsored by American Senior Communities, WTHR Channel 13 and Community Health Network. The Health Fair will be Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Community Hospital South, 1402 E. County Line Rd. S.
