Caitlin Clark takes on golf this November

Noral Parham is the multi-media & senior sports reporter for the Indianapolis Recorder, one of the oldest Black publications in the country. Parham has worked with various leagues to provide a diverse perspective in sports, including the Big Ten, Big East, IHSAA, IndyCar, MLB, NHRA, NFL, NBA, WNBA, WWE and the Olympics. Prior to joining the Recorder, Parham served as the community advocate of the MLK Center in Indianapolis and senior copywriter for an e-commerce and marketing firm in Denver.

Many fans are wondering, ‘What can’t she do?’ as WNBA 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark prepares to take part in a golf event this November. 

Set to participate in “The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican” Ladies Professional Golf Association  event, Clark will join  at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, FL., where she will compete in the Pro-Am.

The Pro-Am, which brings together amateur and experienced golfers, will give fans a unique opportunity to see Clark off of the hardwood. Her debut at the Pelican Golf Club event may signal further engagements in golf, potentially establishing her as a multi-sport figure and building anticipation for future crossovers.  

For fans and followers of women’s sports, Clark’s participation adds another dimension to an already vibrant event, blending the excitement of WNBA success with the prestige of LPGA outings.
