Rep. André Carson will host a virtual Youth Opportunities Fair from 4-7 p.m. April 14 in an effort to help connect young people in Indianapolis to a variety of jobs, volunteer positions and other enriching opportunities.
Previously, this event has been held in-person at the Indianapolis Central Library. This year, due to the ongoing pandemic, the event will be held on the platform Booth Central, which allows participants to video chat with the roughly 50 exhibitors available during the event.
“I am honored to once again hold my Youth Opportunities Fair,” Carson said. “Now more than ever, our kids need and deserve the many resources our community has to offer. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges, young people are experiencing tremendous obstacles at a pivotal point in their lives. Thankfully, there are many life-changing opportunities out there, and I’m honored to help young Hoosiers discover them. So, if you’re a young person, a parent/guardian or a caregiver, I encourage you to attend my Youth Opportunities Fair.”
