Today, the Minority Business Review (MBR), in partnership with the Recorder Media Group, has announced the return of the largest cross-sector diversity awards—the Champions of Diversity. This collaboration, back for its 17th award ceremony, aims to spotlight and celebrate individuals and companies that actively invest in promoting diversity across various industries.

Hosted at the prestigious JW Marriott on January 12, 2024, the Champions of Diversity Awards will recognize industry and individual leaders who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within their sectors. This year, the event is introducing five new industry awards, highlighting excellence in Finance, Consumer Goods/Retail, Transportation/Automotive, Technology, and Sports and Entertainment. Additionally, this year, the awards ceremony will honor three individuals with the following accolades:
- Emerald Leadership Award: Demonstrated outstanding leadership
- Sapphire Diversity Maverick: Remarkable ability to withstand challenges and adversity
- Stewardship Young Leader Award: Envisioning a world marked by positive change
These awards will be presented alongside the prestigious:
- Dr Martin Luther King Jr Freedom Award
- William G Mays Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award
- Rosa Parks Trailblazer Award
- President’s Choice Award
- Lifetime Education Advocate Award
- Amos Brown Community Advocate Award
