The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is hosting a brand-new Winter Faire from Nov. 18, 2023 through Feb. 11, 2024. The faire will offer games, hands-on-activities, interaction with animal characters and Santa, and the museum’s infamous 47-foot-long WinterSlide.
Museumgoers will find the faire in the museum’s new magical winter forest. Ember, a fluffy red fox, will greet families as they enter the forest. Once in the forest, museumgoers will have the chance to meet Indigo, a learned and magical chameleon, Flip the seal, the courageous ice phoenix Storm and Gerty, a kind artistic beaver who can be found in the Artisans Corner.
While in the forest, visitors will have a chance to see objects from around the world made of various materials. They can also play shopkeeper and at select times, families will be able to create a lantern during a “WinterFaire-y Tale” in Gerty’s Workshop.
