Cultured Urban Winery is the third best winery in the state of Indiana on Yelp.
In April, the Microsoft Network compiled a list of the 26 best wineries in Indiana. Using aggregate data from Yelp reviews, Cultured Urban Winery — a Black- and woman-owned winery in Anderson, Indiana — was recognized as one of the highest-ranking wineries in the state with a 5.0 out of 5.0 rating, according to a press release.
“I am very ecstatic that Cultured Urban Winery was nationally recognized,” owner and winemaker Dr. Treva Bostic said in a statement. “We strive for great customer service and take great pride in providing experiences for our patrons. We will continue to strive for quality in our wine and dining experiences.”
Cultured Urban Winery, which celebrates its second anniversary this month, got its start in May 2022. The winery aims to blend tradition with innovation, featuring age-old winemaking techniques and practices that have been updated with modern technology to ensure the highest quality. As one of the newest wineries on the list, Bostic said she is ecstatic about the top three ranking.
Cultured Urban Winery sources grapes from both local Indiana vineyards and renowned international regions, which go through a meticulous process to create “wines with exquisite flavors and perfect balance,” according to the website.
In addition to our winemaking, Cultured Urban Winery hosts wine tastings, art exhibitions, live music and cultural events for the community. Each of these aims to help create “an immersive experience that celebrates the vibrancy of urban life.”
Founded in 2004, Yelp is one of the longest running and most reputable crowdsourcing review platforms in the world. The platform is widely used in the food and beverage industry as it provides customers opportunities to share their experiences and leave honest reviews of local and national restaurant chains, wineries, stores and entertainment venues.
“Most tables seemed to really enjoy the wine flights,” one Yelp reviewer wrote about their experience at Cultured Urban Winery. “To add to the experience, there was live music and not an empty seat in the house. This family run business is a gem that you must check out soon. The wine options are varied, and we loved that the menu provided pairing suggestions.”
