A cannon that was once part of the Lincoln Museum’s collection has found a home at Historic Fort Wayne.
Parks and Recreation Director Al Moll Historic says the Lincoln Financial Foundation donated the cannon to the city historic site.
Former Historic Fort Wayne board president Sean O’Brien says the cannon is a 19th-century reproduction of a Civil War-era piece and has an estimated value of about $30,000.
The Lincoln Museum closed last year and some of its collection has moved to the Allen County Public Library. Plans are in the works to move other artifacts to the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.
