INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Butler’s NCAA tournament run is starting to look a lot like last year.
That No. 1 seed they weren’t supposed to beat is now history. The Bulldogs are just two wins away from a second straight Final Four appearance. And after one of the most implausible finishes in NCAA tourney history Saturday night, they’re starting to win back the hearts and minds of America’s college basketball fans, too.
It wasn’t supposed to go this way after Butler lost three straight games in late January and early February. But the Bulldogs have never let conventional wisdom get in the way of their success.
Instead, Butler is heading to its third regional semifinal in five years with a script made for Hollywood.
