Election season is here, which means it is almost time to cast your vote in the 2024 general election.
The Indianapolis Recorder wants to make sure its readers will not miss a chance to exercise their right to vote. Here is a list of important dates to remember for Indiana voters, according to the Indiana American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana (ACLU IN).

October 7
The deadline to register to vote or update your registration in Indiana is Oct. 7, 2024. To register online or update an existing registration, visit indianavoters.in.gov.
October 8
The first day of in-person early voting begins on Oct. 8, 2024. To find polling locations for early voting days and times, visit indianavoters.com.
October 24
The last day to submit an absentee ballot application by mail is Oct. 24, 2024. Mail-in ballots must be received by 6 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024.
November 5
Polls open on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. For more information or to find a polling location, visit indianavoters.in.gov
