The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed safety Matt Giordano (Jee-or-DON’-oh), who had been an unrestricted free agent.
Giordano has played four seasons with the Colts and had career-bests with 26 defensive tackles and 13 special teams tackles last year. The Colts picked him in the fourth round of the 2005 draft out of California and he has played in 55 games with six starts.
The team did not release any terms of Giordano’s new contract in Monday’s announcement.
The Colts still have three unrestricted free agents ā cornerback Keiwan Ratliff, punter Hunter Smith and defensive end Josh Thomas. Free agent running back Dominic Rhodes signed last week with the Buffalo Bills.
