The Indianapolis Colts have announced a new effort to allow musicians to share their music with fans and have the opportunity for it to be featured on the team’s digital properties. This is the first initiative of its kind by the Colts, and it is designed to merge two popular elements of the entertainment industry — sports and music.
“We are constantly integrating music with football — from game day music to highlight videos and social media campaigns, music is a big part of our fan experience,” said Dan Plumlee, Colts director of digital platforms. “We wanted to provide a way for the team to support local artists and share their music with our fan base. This open sharing model will give them the opportunity to expose our fans to their music in a new and exciting way.”
Through this new initiative, artists can submit their songs through colts.com/music and the Colts will select songs periodically to be featured in the team’s various platforms.
