The Be a Blessing holiday program brought unwrapped toys and pizza to schools on Dec. 17 and 18. Frederick Douglass School 19, Sankofa School of Success at Arlington Woods, several Phalen Leadership Academy Schools and Charles W. Fairbanks School 105 participated in the program.

All the schools participating are implementing Fight for Life’s Foundation Building Dreams platform, a school-wide program that helps youth serving organizations build relationships and monitor social emotional needs and behavior. Students use the software to express needs, set goals, help with decision making and build health and wellness habits.

The Be a Blessing program provides resources and support to students, families and educators utilizing the platform. Sankofa School of Success at Arlington Woods and Frederick Douglass School #19 earned an expanded holiday party, featuring a live DJ, story time, arts and crafts and more.

Papa Johns of Indianapolis and West Central Indiana donated 4,500 slices of pizza. Several local businesses sponsored the event, including Toys for Tots.
