The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is offering free, hands-on classroom presentations to elementary students across the state in celebration of Earth Day.
The IDEM staff visit schools each year to talk about their careers and share STEM-based lessons on air, land, water and recycling.
The Earth Day presentations are available to elementary schools and last 30-50 minutes. IDEM professionals speak to students about the type of careers IDEM offers. Teachers can choose from a variety of presentations including recycling and reducing trash, how long trash lasts in landfills, watersheds and the water cycle and air quality.

The presentations are available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout April. Each school may request up to four presentations. Registration is open now through Feb. 21.
