Indy Ignite hosts sellout crowd in franchise’s first match

More by this author

Well, that was fast.

Indy Ignite, the city’s newest volleyball franchise, announced a sellout crowd their first match.

The matchup, slated for Jan.11 against Orlando, sold out all 7,500 seats at the Fishers Event Center.

President and General Manager of Indy Ignite Mary Kay Huse said that being able to sell out so quickly is a sign of good things to come.

“We were able to completely sell out Fishers Event Center four days before our first match is a prime example of the grassroots support behind Indy Ignite,” Huse said.

The Fishers Event Center is also home to the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) All-Star Match, scheduled for Feb. 22.

Festivities for the inaugural match begin at 5 p.m. Eastern Time with the Homecoming Bonfire.

The pregame event is open to the public.

Huse believes the quick sellout is a “testament to the fact that Indiana absolutely is a volleyball state.”

The match begins at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Fans unable to secure a ticket can watch the action on WRTV. Alternatively, the official YouTube channel of the Pro Volleyball Federation will live stream the contest.

“Anyone who didn’t get tickets to Saturday’s game won’t have to wait,” Huse said. “The Ignite’s next home game is January 16.”

Huse said the organization is “beyond excited to welcome you to the first Indy Ignite experience.”

At this rate, the next game for the Indy Ignite has potential to be another sellout crowd.
