EmployIndy and Indy Parks are teaming up to host an event for Indianapolis youth looking for their next summer job.
The Project Indy Interview + Hiring event will host open interviews from 5:30-7 p.m. on March 11 in the Frederick Douglass Park Family Center, 1616 E 25th St., to celebrate the beginning of the 2025 summer jobs hiring season.
Mayor Joe Hogsett first introduced Project Indy, a network of community organizations, employers and corporate partners, in 2016. According to the website, the program aims to provide job opportunities, soft-skill development and job-readiness training to in-school and out-of-school youth in Marion County.
Since the program’s creation, Project Indy has “positively impacted thousands of young adults in Marion County by providing work experiences that increase their employability skills and the opportunity to explore new career fields,” according to a press release. The program also provides opportunities for employers, creating a talent pipeline and training the future workforce for various businesses and industries in the city.
During the hiring event, Indy Parks is hiring for all available positions at all locations, including lifeguards, cashiers and day camp counselors, according to a media advisory. Youth ages 16-24 are invited to register to participate in the event, where they can network, explore options and discover a potential summer job with Indy Parks.

Applications will be available onsite, but attendees are encouraged to arrive ready for an interview — dressed to impress with a resume and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
All participants are required to create an online account with the Project Indy job search platform. This ensures everyone has plenty of time to complete interviews on arrival.
