Martin University welcomes Nickolas Williams, new executive VP of institutional advancement

Martin University recently appointed Nickolas Williams as its new executive vice president of institutional advancement.

Williams comes to the university with more than 18 years of experience across development, fundraising, sales and various leadership positions. He holds a bachelors in sports marketing and a masters in sports management and administration from Indiana University Bloomington.

Through this wealth of experience, Williams brings a ā€œdynamic and visionary approach to advancing the university’s mission and strategic goals,ā€ according to a press release.

ā€œWe are excited to welcome Nickolas Williams to Martin University,” Dr. Sean L. Huddleston, president of Martin University, said in a statement. “His proven track record in development, innovative thinking, and deep commitment to education will help propel the university to new heights.ā€

In his previous developmental positions at the Indiana University Health Foundation and the Indiana University Foundation, Williams raised funds for vital initiatives such as diversity and inclusion efforts, trauma services and major capital projects.

In his new role at Martin University, Williams will serve as a key member of the President’s Cabinet, leading all aspects of the university’s fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, communications and grant activities. Initiatives such as capital campaigns, donor stewardship, board development and cultivating philanthropic partnerships with corporations, foundations and community organizations will also fall within Williams’ strategic oversight.
