The Indiana Repertory Theatre welcomed Nataly Lowder as the organization’s new director of development on April 27.
In her new position, Lowder is a part of IRT’s Senior Leadership Team. Lowder has an extensive background in fundraising, strategy and communications, as well as previous experience as an administrator and performer in the arts and culture sector, which will aid her in developing and executing major gift campaigns, bolstering the annual campaigns, fostering planned giving, and connecting with the IRT community, according to a press release.
“The IRT is thrilled to welcome Nataly to the Theatre,” Suzanne Sweeney, managing director, said in a statement. “Nataly has a passion for not only arts and culture, but also the Indianapolis community as a whole. Her in-depth experience in performing arts, along with her development and leadership expertise in the arts, higher education, and museums, gives her a valuable perspective on the importance of work that can build community, connections, and creativity.”
Formerly the Executive Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Lowder comes to the IRT following her time overseeing all aspects of fundraising, including grant management, corporate partnerships, annual giving and fundraisers, and major campaigns.
She also previously served on the executive leadership committee, where she worked in tandem with the board of directors, board of advisors and the President and CEO. Lowder’s team raised $4-5 million annually in general operating support and completed a $55 million capital and endowment campaign for the Eiteljorg, which raised more than $56 million in capital funds as well as current and future estate gifts, according to a press release.
“I’m not sure what I’ve done right over the years, but I feel such gratitude and excitement to be going from one gem in the city to another,” Nataly Lowder said in a statement. “I am honored to be joining such a wonderful team at the IRT full of vision and possibilities. It’s like coming home, back to my roots. I look forward to the future and the magic we create together.”
