Shooting inside Atlanta building leaves 1 dead, 4 injured

ATLANTA (AP) ā€” Police say one person has been fatally shot and at least four others injured in a shooting in a Midtown Atlanta building. The Atlanta Police Department said on Twitter that the active shooter was inside a building on West Peachtree Street, between 12th and 13th Streets. No suspect was in custody. Police sent out a photo of the person believed to be the shooter. The person was wearing dark pants and a light colored hoodie with the hood pulled up. They had a mask on their face and appeared to be wearing a bag across their front. Police urged anyone in the area to secure their building and shelter in place.

Police: 4 killed in shooting at downtown Louisville bank

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) ā€” Louisville police say at least four people were killed and nine others wounded in a shooting at a bank building in downtown Louisville. Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey told a news conference that the suspect was also dead after the Monday morning shooting. Humphrey said the wounded included two police officers. Officers who arrived on the scene exchanged gunfire with the shooter but it wasn't clear how he died. Humphrey said the shooter appeared to be a former employee of the bank. An emotional Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he lost two friends in the shooting.
