The important mid-term elections are less than seventy-five days away.

On Tuesday, November 8th, voters across Indiana will elect officeholders to national, state, and local offices. These elections are often referred to as the mid-term because they are held between presidential contests. These elections are crucial because they will determine who will represent you in the United States Senate, Congress, state offices, and the Indiana General Assembly; as judges, county-level and local officeholders, and even on local school boards.
For the past six (6) years, ProgressiveThoughtMatters has been a driving force in increasing voter registration and turnout in Indiana. Since our founding, we have helped register over 100,000 new voters, expand voting rights to previously underrepresented voters, and ensured the protection of the rights of voters across our state.
I am writing to you today to encourage you to check the accuracy of your voting record. You might also want to encourage others to check theirs, and if needed register to vote. Both can be done by going to https://indianavoters.in.gov/Please remember that the deadline to register to vote for the November 8th elections is October 11th.
As we continue to move forward, we will keep you posted on our activities. Thanks to volunteers, we are contacting voters each week to encourage them to vote on or before November 8th. Those contacts are being made with voters from all walks of life—with one purpose in mind—to ensure the right to vote and to increase voter participation.
If you would like to help in our efforts, please email me at robin@progressivethoughtmatters.org.
