The Women’s Equity Happy Hour, an event to highlight women-owned businesses in Indianapolis, will be held from 5-8 p.m. on July 11 at the Biltwell Event Center.

Seeing over 170 attendees in 2023, the WE Happy Hour is presented in partnership of Women’s Equity Brunch and Indy Equity Collaborative, two Indianapolis companies who strive to create opportunities and meaningful change in the world of business.

“We believe in the importance of creating spaces where women-owned businesses can thrive, and this partnership does just that,” Doneisha Posey, co-founder of WE Brunch, said in a press release.

The event, unlike other We Brunch events, will be open to all women and allies for vendors and attendees. The event will allow for networking, relationship-building and shopping from a wide array of women-owned businesses.

“The Happy Hour provides an opportunity for the community to come together in support of women-owned vendors, artisans and service providers, fostering unity and economic empowerment,” Amanda L. Bonilla, co-founder of WE Brunch Indy, said in a press release.

The goal of the event, as described by Bonilla, is to make investments in equity. By creating an opportunity for the community to support women, the event will foster empowerment and unity for women and their allies.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to support women-owned businesses and foster community connection,” Nicole Carey, CEO of Indy Equity Collaborative, said in a press release. “Plus, who doesn’t love a good happy hour?”
