Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, located minutes north of Indianapolis, was ranked the most popular Indianapolis-area tourist attraction by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
The top 25 Central Indiana attractions were listed, with Hoosier Park taking home top honors.
Hoosier Park Racing & Casino earned the recognition for the more than 3 million visitors it welcomed throughout 2009. Hoosier Park had approximately 900,000 more visitors than the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which placed second and approximately 1.1 million more visitors than the Lucas Oil Stadium and Convention Center combined, which together placed third.
“As the Indianapolis area’s number-one attraction, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino offers Central Indiana residents and tourists alike a premier destination for racing, gaming, dining and entertainment,” said Jim Brown, Hoosier Park’s general manager of gaming.
