Oprah Winfrey has reclaimed her title as world’s most powerful celebrity in a poll conducted by Forbes magazine.
With $315 million in earnings, Winfrey, 56, who next year is set to launch her own television channel, dethrones Angelina Jolie as the top power player with the actress slipping from No. 1 to 18.
This is Winfrey’s fourth time topping the annual list, which is based on income over the past 12 months, as well as web references, press clippings, broadcast mentions and major magazine covers devoted to the celebrity, Forbes said.
Right behind O at No. 2 on the list is Beyonce Knowles, who jumps two positions from last year with earnings of $87 million.
Director James Cameron, fresh from the success of his record-breaking movie “Avatar,” comes in third with earnings of $210 million.
Lady Gaga and her $62 million banked over the last year is the list’s highest-ranking newcomer at No. 4.
Golfer Tiger Woods kept his high standing despite his cheating scandal, maintaining the No. 5 position and raking in $105 million even in the wake of his self-imposed six-month break from the game.
Others in the top 10 include pop singer Britney Spears at six and Irish rockers U2 at seven.
