Citizens Energy Group announces organizational changes

Citizens Energy Group has announced the following organizational changes and promotions in its corporate office related to its acquisition of the community’s water and wastewater utilities.

LaTona Prentice has been promoted to vice president, regulatory affairs. In her new position, Prentice has regulatory responsibility for Citizens Gas, Citizens Thermal and Citizens Water. Prentice had been executive director, regulatory affairs.

Don Lukes has been promoted to director of treasury. In his new position, Lukes is responsible for treasury strategy and policy, including capital structure and analysis, banking structure and relationships, cash forecasting, investment policy implementation and analysis, budgeting, debt management, ensuring bond covenant compliance and reporting to senior management.

Beth Glidden has been named director, quality systems. Glidden had been director of information technology. In her new position Glidden is responsible for management of the organization’s quality process, which includes the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program and the ISO Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.

Matthew Klein has been named director of resource planning. He had been executive director of the Indianapolis Department of Waterworks since 2009. In his new role, Klein will be responsible for resource planning for Citizens Water.

Jeff Willman has been named director of customer relations and government affairs. Willman had been director of sales. In his new role, Willman is providing strategic direction and management for the company’s sales and marketing efforts for all five utilities. He also will communicate regularly with government officials about Citizens’ operations and monitor government activity for potential impacts on the company. Curtis Popp has been named director of shared field services. Popp had been the director of treasury. In his new role Popp is responsible for management oversight of the utility’s new Shared Field Services organization which is providing a range of services including fleet and facility maintenance, real estate, dispatch, meter reading and customer field services.
