Player Networking Event was established in 2001 as a career transition initiative of National Football League’s (NFL) Player Development. In 2003, the NFL provided Troupe21 and Associates with exclusive rights to administer PNE as an NFL Sanctioned Super Bowl Event. Designed to teach active and former NFL players the value of networking — PNE targets individuals and corporations interested in supporting this aim.
Each year approximately 75 active and former players, 400 corporate executives and 20-40 exhibitors attend this invitation-only event. Exhibitors are typically focused on marketing opportunities to players (e.g. autograph signings, speaking engagements, shadowing, internship, employment, consulting, franchising, partnerships, etc.). PNE also serves as a launchpad and promotional venue for athlete-owned businesses and charities. Due to COVID-19 our Feb. 5 event has been re-engineered as a virtual experience where NFL executives and players educate high school and college athletes.
