Between the Spring and Fall seasons of their bi-annual fashion showcases, Midwest Fashion Week continues to collaborate with industry powerhouses in the Midwest, this time the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), a non-profit organization that functions to economically empower and sustain African American communities through entrepreneurship and capitalistic activity within the United States and via interaction with the Black Diaspora.
This collaboration features Midwest Fashion Week’s sponsorship of the Second Annual NBCC Fashion House Presentation, taking place Friday, July 11, 2014 at Y Bar (224 W Ontario St Chicago, IL 60654) from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
This exciting fashion show and networking platform brings together business leaders, designers, vendors, and celebrity guests including but not limited to Chicago Governor Pat Quinn, pro-wrestler David Otunga, fashion designer J. Alexander Martin, Chef Roblé, and keynote speaker Desiree Rogers, CEO of Johnson Publishing Company.
The event is expected to bring five thousand attendees to the near north side on Friday evening as it runs in conjunction with the NBCC Convention, and will be hosted by Celebrity Apprentice, Claudia Jordan. While admission is free to convention attendees, non-convention attendees can purchase tickets online. Limited tickets are available.
