Indiana state archaeologist Dr. Rick Jones will share mapping and artifact recovery techniques with participants as they excavate a 19th century archaeological site in Holliday Park.

Almost 100 years later, evidence of their estate is still being uncovered. During last yearās event, participants excavated an antique cistern and found broken china, pottery chards, a wood rasp and mussel-shell buttons.
Participants should wear clothes that can get dirty and bring a lunch. Cost is $10 per person and registration is required. Call the Holliday Park Nature Center at (317) 327-7180 for more information or to sign up.
