First Baptist Church of Indianapolis, 8600 N. College Ave., will co-host a Community Health Fair with Community North Hospital on Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.
With help and support from local businesses, service providers and non-profit organizations, the health fair will offer 30 organizations with many health, preventive, and information opportunities.
Currently, the events and organizations scheduled to be at the fair include:
• American Cancer Association
• American Diabetes Association
• Anthem to discuss low income options for health care
• Christine Brown to lecture about anti-drug/smoking
• NFL Kids Play promotion donations
• Little Red Door
• Dental information-Meridian North Dental Care
• Vision screening-Dr. Tavel eye care
• $25 Kroger flu shots
• Indiana Blood Center blood mobile
• Hearing screening
• Jordan YMCA – Zumba and other exercise programs
• Marion County Health Department
• Fire Department smokehouse
• Pacer Fan Van
• Rowdie
• Nancy Wieringa – nutrition coach, Community North
• Bicycle safety
• Pre/post-natal health care
• Kathleen Spears to talk about cancer support communities
