Mays honored by Walker Theatre

The Madame Walker Theatre Center recently announced William G. Mays as the recipient of the 2010 Madame C.J. Walker Entrepreneurial Award. Each year, a local entrepreneur who has made a positive difference in the community receives the award. Mays is publisher and owner of the Indianapolis Recorder. An award luncheon will take place May 12 in the Grand Casino Ballroom of the Madame Walker Theatre. Proceeds will support the theatre’s cultural arts endeavors.
