Lawyers in Libraries to give free legal help

Indianapolis lawyers will be in 10 Indianapolis library branches to give free legal assistance to those in need of advice on Oct. 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Members of the Indianapolis Bar Association are partnering with the Indianapolis Public Library to host Ask a Lawyer, a free legal advice program for area residents to speak face to face with an attorney at no cost. No matter what the legal issue, lawyers will offer advice and assist in finding solutions.

Qualified, licensed attorneys will be available for free consultations at:

  • Haughville Library, 2121 W. Michigan St.
  • Eagle Library, 3325 Lowry Road.
  • Pike Library, 6525 Zionsville Road.
  • Glendale Library, 6101 N. Keystone Ave.
  • Southport Library, 2630 East Stop 11 Road.
  • Brightwood Library, 2435 North Sherman Dr.
  • Central Library, 40 East St. Clair St.
  • College Avenue Library, 4180 N. College Ave.
  • East 38th Street Library, 5420 E. 38th St.
  • East Washington Library, 2822 E. Washington St.

Anyone unable to visit a library location is encouraged to call the Indy Bar offices, also on Oct. 11 at (317) 269-2000 with extended hours from 2 to 8 p.m. to receive a free telephone consultation.
