The Indianapolis Public Library is seeking input from the community about the new Fort Benjamin Harrison Library Branch. Ratio Architects plans to begin construction in August 2021. The library is excepted to open in 2023.
In November, the library board approved purchasing 2.5 acres of land for $1 from the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority. The 25,000-square-foot facility will be located at the Lawrence Village at the Fort. The library board would like input on the amenities being considered for the branch.
Community members interested in offering input may do so by attending a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom or an online survey. To register for the meeting or complete the survey, visit indypl.org/fortben.
