Butler University’s 2011-2012 J. James Woods Lectures in the Sciences and Mathematics begin Sept. 29 with a technology panel featuring professors James Gee, Craig Watkins and Craig Anderson discussing video games, technology and their impact on youth.
The discussion begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Atherton Union Reilly Room. All lectures in the series are free and open to the public without tickets.
Following the technology panel will be Cornell University Professor Steven Strogatz talking about chaos theory (Oct. 11); Great Ape Trust scientist Sue Savage-Rumbaugh on Bonobos, Language and Culture (Nov. 2); and Bruce Miller, clinical director of the Memory and Aging Center at University of California San Francisco, on The Mind and Aging (Nov. 9).
