The inaugural Black Innovation Week, which spotlights Black leaders in technology, is July 19-July 24.

Black Innovation Week will feature free panel discussions and networking opportunities. Be Nimble Foundation will award grants to the most innovative creatives.

July 19 ā€” Protect Your Peace: Health and Wellness Panel, panelists will discuss the intersection of innovation and mental and physical health, 6-8 p.m. Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.

July 20 ā€” ā€œInnovatEDā€ panel discussion, local education leaders and educators will lead the discussion, 6-8 p.m. Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.

July 21 ā€” Black Innovation Week Career Fair and Conference, a virtual career fair and conference will feature a fireside chat with Carla Harris, vice chairman of wealth management at Morgan Stanley, and will be simulcast on Afrotechā€™s Lunchtable live platform. 

Black Innovation Week Pitch Pardi & Mixer, 12 Black-led start-ups will pitch their ideas to win one of five prizes during the inaugural Garden Pardi pitch competition. After the competition, they will host the Black in Tech Rooftop Mixer 7-9 p.m., High Alpha Studios, 830 Massachusetts Ave., Suite 1500, Floor 4.

Be Nimble Foundation will award the top founder $5,000, and $2,500 each to the three runner-up founders. Pitch finalists will share their ideas with a panel of judges at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced July 24 at Garden Pardi.

July 22 ā€” Pardiway: The Fest, the second installment of the 7House and Be Nimble collaboration highlighting the connection between business and culture of the local art scene to tech, 7 p.m. Chefs from the Melon Kitchen accelerator and other local partners will offer special sample menus.Ā 

July 23 ā€” VIP & Sponsor Mixer and RNB Houseparty,Be Nimble Foundation will kick-off the weekend with a private VIP & Sponsor Mixer (invite only), and RNB Houseparty, (open to public). 

July 24 ā€” Garden Pardi, Kenny Burns, Uncle Nearest brand ambassador, will host Garden Pardi, 3-8 p.m. at Lucas Estates. Tickets are sold out.Ā
