There’s just something about Fox & Hound’s wings

Folks have been glued to their televisions watching the NBA Playoffs. The Indiana Pacers have ended their journey, so now many Indiana basketball fans will watch the rest of the nationwide series’ and root for the team they’re settling on since the Pacers are out of the running.

I don’t know about you, but for me, watching sports is synonymous with munching on something bite-sized and delicious. One of my favorite game-day snacks of choice is hot wings.

The odd thing is, I never really ate wings before moving to Pacers country and now I just can’t get enough.

Some restaurants boast to serve up the best wings, but I think many people miss out on what Fox & Hound has to offer.

Their menu is loaded with your typical pub food and plenty of TVs to watch lots of basketball. The ultimate nachos, rainbow chips piled high with black beans, cheese, lettuce, jalepenos, tomatoes, and other toppings are a great way to start out your evening (or afternoon) of sports.

The cheeseburger sliders are new to Fox & Hound’s menu and are an item I plan on ordering the next time I’m there. They are served with a side of Pretzel Dunkers (also new) and spicy queso.

Good thing you ate those appetizers because it may take you a while to choose your main meal. Fox & Hound has six kinds of burgers that are not for picky eaters. They have an even longer list of sandwiches that includes Philly cheesesteak, thin steak, peppers, onions and mushrooms and a special blend of cheeses on a hoagie roll; the chipotle chicken wrap, a chipotle tortilla filled with grilled marinated chicken, avacado, cheese, onions, tomatoes, peppers, black beans and poblano sauce; and the blackened mahi-mahi, a fresh fish filet of mahi-mahi seasoned and blackened and served on a toasted sesame seed bun with coleslaw, poblano remoulade sauce and a side of fries.

Those with a really hearty appetite can choose an entrée such as the Santa Fe enchiladas, beer-battered chicken tenders (which are so large and juicy) or the half rack of baby back ribs.

Fox & Hound also serves soups, salads and pizza.

Their pizza, nachos, sandwiches, burgers and entrees are appetizing, but there’s just something about those wings!

Their spicy garlic wing sauce is my absolute favorite and their hot honey sauce is unlike any other. I think next time I go to Fox & Hound, I may order wings with their sweet chili garlic sauce or the hot barbecue. For those who don’t like spicy foods, the mild sauce is quite tasty.

I love the fact that Indianapolis has some of the best sports fans anywhere and that Hoosier hospitality is always evident during game time at Fox & Hound. It’s like Cheers over there!

While you’re watching the playoffs or any other sport on one of their many TVs, wash down all that chicken with an ice cold beer or one of many specialty drinks. They also have daily drink specials, so you’re bound to get a good deal.

Their food has fair prices with meals ranging from $6.99 to $15.99. Lunch specials offer a variety of meals for $5.99 or $6.99.
