Community Health Network broke ground on a new health and wellness campus in Westfield, a step in expanding access to comprehensive health care for one of Indiana’s fastest growing communities.
The 425,000-square-foot campus is near 196th Street and U.S. 31. The facility will feature an ambulatory surgery center, a medical office building, an emergency department, and a six-story inpatient tower. The campus will focus on women’s health, integrative medicine, orthopedics, primary care, behavioral health and specialty care.
“This campus is all about enhancing access to high-quality, convenient care for Westfield residents and surrounding areas,” said Jason Fahrlander, COO of Community Health Network. “It demonstrates our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of this community with comprehensive services delivered close to home.”
Work is also underway to renovate two existing buildings at 19800 and 1900 East Street, which will house outpatient imaging, cardiovascular care and multiple clinical specialties. An inpatient tower will house 100 beds and provide labor and delivery services with family-centered Neonatal Intensive Care Unit rooms.
The medical office building is slated to open early-2025, followed by the surgery and hospital facilities in 2026. The project cost $335 million and incorporates sustainability goals, with the renovation of existing structures expected to save over $50 million.
