The Ultra Elite Group is partnering with the Frederick Douglass Golf Course and the Martindale Brightwood Community Development Corporation to host the 2nd annual Martindale Brightwood Golf Clinic and Par3 Tournament on June 17.
Neighbors and community supporters are welcome to participate in the golf clinic lead by First Tee, an organization that combines golf with life skills.
“We want to use the event as a meaningful yet fun way to connect youth and community members while bringing awareness to Frederick Douglass Golf Course,” said Larry Wilson, owner of Ultra Elite Group, in a statement released by the event’s organizers.
Clete Ladd will share neighborhood history over lunch. Adult golfers can earn prizes by participating in the Par3 tournament.
The event’s proceeds will support the Martindale Brightwood Community Development Corporation which focuses on resident education, economic mobility, and housing.
The golf clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and the tournament will follow at 1 p.m. and end at 3 p.m.
