Ivy Tech Community College is hosting a free event with Consul General of Canada Roy B. Norton Oct. 21. The event, which is open to the public, will take place at 2:45 p.m. Oct. 21 in Ivy Tech’s Illinois Fall Creek Center, room 102 (2535 N. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis.)
Norton’s presentation, “Canada: Why Hoosiers Should Care,” explains the world’s largest two-way trade relationship and why it’s important to Indiana. A question and answer session and reception will follow the presentation.
As the Consul General of Canada based in Detroit, Norton represents Canada in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. The Canadian Consulate General, which he heads, promotes Canadian interests – trade, investment, the environment, culture and academic relations being among the principal ones. The office also provides consular and passport services.
