The New Wishard project leaders will conduct an informational pre-bid meeting for one of the largest packages to date, a set of work that includes fit out construction of the new hospital, outpatient care building and central utility plant on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Madame Walker Theatre, 617 Indiana Ave.
Wishard plans to execute the bidding for the 41-unit Bid Package 5 over the course of the year, wrapping up all bids by the end of 2011.
The package features 15 individual scopes for sections of work in piping; plumbing; pneumatic tube system; kitchen equipment; fire protection; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); site utilities; electrical; communications systems; temperature controls; and fire alarms for the hospital, outpatient care building and central utility plant.
The bid date for the package is 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at Madame Walker Theatre. Wishard released the invitation to bid for the package on Jan. 3. Wishard’s project schedule calls for bids on Units 20-24 of Bid Package 5 within the next few months, and bids on the remaining units in the summer and fall.
