NFL alum Marlin Jacksonā€™s Fight for Life Foundation received a grant for a partnership with Preventia to support educator mental health and well-being.

The Fight for Life Foundation is a nonprofit that helps underserved youth by providing tools to educators for social-emotional learning programs. Preventia, a company specializing in mental and behavioral health, will partner up with the foundation for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.

The partnership is made possible by the Indianapolis Coltsā€™ Kicking the Stigma Grant, which has been raising awareness to end the stigma around mental illnesses since 2020.

ā€œWeā€™re pleased to award a Kicking the Stigma Action Grant to support Fight for Life and Preventiaā€™s efforts to make a difference in the lives of educators and students, both inside and outside the classroom,ā€ said Brett Kramer, Director of Kicking the Stigma.

Through this collaboration, educators using the foundation’s Building Dreams platform will have access to Preventiaā€™s mental and behavioral care providers.Ā

ā€œWe are grateful for the Indianapolis Coltsā€™ investment and their innovative approach around helping communities truly kick the stigma of mental health,ā€ Jackson said.
