In less than a month, the 7,500-seat capacity state-of-the-art Fishers Event Center will open its doors to the public for the first show.

Sitting atop a 53-acre plot, the venue is slated to host a wide array of events from concerts to Indy Fuel games to private events.

Ahead of the opening, general manager Mitch List and Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness are excited about the prospects and the amenities offered for guests.

“We have a beautiful building that we’re going to deliver on time and, knock on wood, on budget as well,” Fadness said.  “So, thank you to Hunt Construction for their efforts … It seems like there isn’t a day that goes by or a week that goes by that Mitch and his team isn’t announcing yet another world-class event coming here to our doorstep here in the city of Fishers.”

Recent weeks have seen the installation of venue seating, hockey glass, rubber flooring in the locker rooms, exterior lighting, plumbing fixtures, the scoreboard and outdoor paving.

“As we approach opening day, excitement continues to grow,” List said. “The momentum we’ve built over the past few months is truly remarkable, and we’re eager to share this incredible venue with the community. We’re in the final stages of preparation, and every day brings us closer to delivering world-class entertainment in a state-of-the-art space.”

The new space will serve as the hub for three professional teams: the Indy Fuel Hockey Club, the Indy Ignite volleyball team and the Fishers Freight indoor football league. In addition to serving as a venue for sporting and entertainment events, it will also serve as the largest private event space in Hamilton County.

“We’re excited about what’s going to be announced and what’s already been announced in terms of new restaurants, new developments, new hotels, new growth all around this area to truly create just an incredible district here at the arena,” List said.
