Governor Tim Walz is set to deliver a speech to AFSCME members in Los Angeles today.
Walz, the current governor of Minnesota and running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris, is attending the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) 46th International Convention Aug. 13 where he will deliver a speech to the thousands of public service workers in attendance at noon PT/3 p.m. EST.
Walz, who is also a former high school teacher, union member, previously served in the Army National Guard and as a member of Congress. He will be introduced by AFSCME President Lee Saunders.
