Mayor Joe Hogsett announced the appointment of Todd Wilson as the new director Indianapolis Department of Public Works (Indy DPW).
Wilson has over 15 years of experience in designing, constructing and managing infrastructure projects across Indiana. As a leader, Wilson has worked in both the private and public sector, driving key initiatives to improve public infrastructure while ensuring compliance. Wilson has worked on several high-profile projects, managed diverse teams and collaborated across agencies.
“Todd Wilson’s success in both the public and private sectors as an infrastructure leader will complement the incredible work already being done by the Indianapolis Department of Public Works,” Hogsett said. “I look forward to seeing how his expertise and vision combined with the administration’s five-year, $1 billion infrastructure plan will benefit public works projects across the city.”

Prior to his appointment, Wilson led construction services at VS Engineering and served as director of engineering for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Wilson also spent time as construction administrator for Indy DPW.
Wilson holds a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree from Purdue University and has been active in several industry organizations, such as serving as board president of the Purdue Engineering Alumni Association.
